Blueberry Popsicles

Written by Denise Sawyer on Tuesday, May 28, 2013.

All you need is two ingredients - white grape juice {make sure you purchase 100% juice so that you aren’t serving them up juices with added sugar} and fresh Georgia blueberries.  You could use other juices for other flavor combos but the white grape juice looks so pretty because it lets the blueberries shine through.

If you have popsicle molds, great!  Just pour the white grape juice into the molds leaving a little extra space {don’t fill them to the top!}.  Plop in a few {5-8 blueberries} and seal them up.  Freeze overnight for best results.

If you don’t have popsicle molds, no problem!  All you need are some paper cups {like the little bathroom ones for kids}, popsicle sticks, skewers, chop sticks, or plastic spoons, and some aluminum foil.  Follow the same directions as above.  Then, cover each cup with foil and pop a popsicle stick, skewer, or plastic spoon in and viola!

My kids LOVED these popsicles and thought the frozen blueberries were really fun!  I’d love to hear how your kiddos enjoyed them if you decide to give them a try!

Wow, these look great and I think you are right about 100% juice. Thanks for a great tip on creating a cool and refreshing summer afternoon treat. Going to try this as soon as we go pick our fresh blueberries...can't wait.

These sound delicious... I think baby girl would enjoy them more than my sweet big boy... But definitely a treat we will have to try. :)

I love that this so simple and has only healthy ingredients with nothing artifical. We overlook the simple things sometimes. Thanks for finding healthy and fun ways to incorporate blueberries into my diet.
